Ajax Fiori rolled out its 7,000th self-loading concrete mixer from its Doddaballapur facility near Bengaluru on August, 22, 2016. The milestone was achieved when the ARGO 2000 machine was delivered to B Dasthagiri Reddy, Managing Partner, BDR Infra Solutions, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, at their factory premises.

Despite the Rs 2,500-crore concrete equipment industry registered nearly 40 per cent fall in the market and is under severe pressure, there is tremendous growth opportunities in the long term.

Ajax Fiori launches concrete pumps

The construction equipment sector in India has been witnessing an increasing demand due to modernisation in construction process, leading to customers opting for world class technology equipment to suit the Indian environment. Out of $ 2.3 billion construction equipment sold in India, just seven per cent is sold to rental companies, which is low compared to the global average of 50 per cent; in China, it is approximately 35 per cent, in USA 65 per cent and in Japan, it is 80 per cent.

The market for concrete equipment seems to be very bullish. The real estate sector, which was lagging earlier, is now actually pushing up the demand of concrete product.
